May they all be one- John 17:21

Celebration of the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity

Today we are celebrating the feast of the Most Holy Trinity. When Christians are asked about the Trinity, they are quickly to say that it is a mystery, meaning it is difficult to understand.   This is partially true because nobody can claim that he or she knows or understands God.

Feast of St Joseph, 2020

The liturgical calendar has two feasts of St Joseph. The first one is on March 19 and the second one is on May 1.  The scriptures do not speak much about St Joseph.  The little that appears in the scriptures portrays a man of faith, a just man, a responsible husband, a caring father, humble and obedient servant of God.

(John 20:19-23)

Today we are celebrating the feast of Pentecost. It marks the beginning of the Church under the guidance and the power of the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete as promised by our Lord Jesus.  Jesus had told his disciples: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8).
